Struggles: But onward and upward!

As much as I love healthy raw food, and craving fresh fruit, you'd think this would be easy> I don't know if it's because I'm new to this a getting ready to do a juice feast with RFR, and being busy out and about, but having trouble doing 100%. I know there's a learning curve and getting to all the neew ways of shopping and new kitchen routines to learn. so I can't beat myself up, because even on my worst day I'm getting more nutients than before when eating cooked, so will just keep cleaning it up, and learning. trying to round up new combos of juice for the feast, don't want to be stagnant. and the Documentaries i posted about yesterday, definitely a inspirational boost.
The other challenge is finding how to be rw as a endurance athlete, when you're use to what works to fill your caloric and energy needs on the run and bike, and need to find raw ways, it's an area out of my traditional way of thought and practice, and finding a hard finding athletes to learn from, there must not be alot of them. But I'm determined:)

Awsome Documentary!

I just watched this and this such a inspiration to me! But I also watched " Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and it was very good and even more inspirational! The trucker was amazing! Between the two documentaries, and in the "SuperCharge Me" there was a guy who like me also hd MS and was using the raw food lifestyle to combat his MS and that was so exciting to me! I just know this is the way I was meant to eat and the messages I was meat to hear. I also took notice to the B12, anemia issues she had aquired,, as I have had issues with these on a reular diet, so I know I will ned to take steps to insure I have plenty of folic acid, iron, and B12. I posted the documentary here in hopes it will help to inspire others as well, if nothing but to add more raw foods into your diet. so hope you enjoy as much as I did. and do, because when or if I struggle I will come back and get reinspired.

Protein: Please read!

I read this today, and since there is such todo over Raw foodies get enough protein and how healthy protein supplements are, I thought I would pass along. Stay real :).

Protein Drink Dangers: Investigation Finds Several Protein Powders and Protein Drinks Toxic

Protein_Drink_Toxic_Dangers
15 protein drinks tested by Consumer Reports had one or more the following contaminants: arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury.

Are Ready-to-Drink Protein Powders and Protein Liquids are Contaminated?

A new "Consumer Reports" Investigation finds that some ready-to-drink protein powders and protein liquids are contaminated with dangerous metals that pose serious health risks and can have toxic effects on the body's organs.
The Consumer Reports investigation appearing in Consumer Report's July issue, included the testing of 15 protein drinks, as well as a review of government documents and interviews with health and fitness experts, and consumers.
The report found that most people already get enough protein and that even people who do not can find "far better and cheaper ways to add more protein to their diet if it's needed."
All 15 of the protein drinks tested by Consumer Reports had one or more the following contaminants: arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury.
Specifically, "Consumer Reports" found that Muscle Milk Chocolate, Muscle Milk Vanilla Crème and EAS Myoplex Original Rich Dark Chocolate can expose users to elevated levels of heavy metals when they consume three servings a day.
If consumed in excess, arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury can have toxic effects on the body and its organs. Chronic, low-level exposure to heavy metals can build up in the body and cause serious health conditions, including but not limited to central nervous system damage, reproductive damage, organ failure and even death.

getting myself ready to vlog!!

Hi all!
I did go ahead and start to get my body ready, so it doesn't go into complete shock! I did breakfast and lunch completely raw! so excited! I will be starting the dry brushing tomorrow, since it was one of the new things we were learning about over at raw food rehab.
I an going to look tomorrow for a tripod for my little Kodak video camera, because I would rather start posting videos of my journey for myself as well as more support, able to track myself better, get more input. I am an endurance athlete, having done marathon running , an ironman triathlon, and century and double century cycling, but over the past year have had some setbacks with my MS, so had to take a break, but I am doing this raw food journey to help get back in thr drivers seat and then do some more or at least another epic endurance challenge to bring awareness to this way of life as well as (hopefully) being able being able bring awareness to MS and the positive effects of RAW on it:). So  also videoing for that reason, to follow training and eating raw for my epic endurance challenge (undecided what as of now), so searching for other raw food endurance athletes to find out how they manage to stay raw on that ind of training, I know what I'm doing on SAD. but this is all new to me. So I will be vlogging my whole process, so feel free to follow, lend support or pointers if you have some!
Forward movements one step at a time!

Freedom to raw:

HI All!
I now I am just begining my raw journey, but i saw this today and felt the need to share. I don't drink milk, but if I did I would lie to know that I could choose not to have processed milk. And whats to stop them from deciding I cannot eat organic food, which they are working on as well. I want clean raw no chemical food to help me in my battle for better health and against MS, and don't want that RIGHT taken from me in this free country that I love so much:)
So please lets all work together to keep the Free in freedom, and stay informed. remember, where we spend our money, (organic etc...) is the best way to mae a point:)
Thanks
